Laura Dwynell Moore was born September 13, 1948 in Colquitt, Ga., the daughter of Berry and Jessie Mae Smith Moore. She was a graduate of Miller County High School. Nell married Albert Ray Lovering in 1967 and they made their home in Colquitt, where she served as a bookkeeper for Department of Family & Children Services. Nell was a member of Notchaway Baptist Church.
Cats and Conway Twitty made Nell happy. She spent her days adoring feline friends and feeding any stray that stumbled across her path. You would see her face light up when she heard the words “Hello Darlin’,’” as if Conway was singing directly to her.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Ray Lovering; her children, Michael & Laura Lovering of Iron City, Ga., and Berry Lovering of Atlanta, Ga.; her brother, Wayne Moore and his wife, Marianne, of Colquitt, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Nell was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Weathersby.
