Mr. Timothy James Herendeen, age 58, passed away early Sunday, February 28, 2021, at Capital Regional Medical Center, Tallahassee, Florida.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of viewing and visitation, 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home in Bainbridge, Georgia.
In accordance with State of Georgia guidelines concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing and to wear protective masks.
Timothy James Herendeen was born April 25, 1962 in South Bend, Indiana. His parents, George and Kathleen Herendeen raised him in South Bend. Tim studied at Purdue University, but decided to leave and join the U.S. Navy. He proudly served as a Chief Gunner’s Mate. He loved University of Notre Dame football and absolutely bled Blue and Gold. Tim believed in the hope of finding Bigfoot. If you wanted to know anything about Conspiracy Theories, he was your man. Mostly, he deeply loved his family. Timothy Herendeen will be greatly missed by the family he loved so much and his many friends. Go Irish!!!
Tim Herendeen leaves behind his beloved wife, Sheila Glasier Herendeen of Whigham, Georgia, children, Heather Herendeen of Whigham, Rachael Herendeen of Bainbridge, Georgia, Kylie Etress of Midland, Alabama, and Zachary Herendeen and wife, Meghan of Albany, Georgia; grandchildren, Aiden Herendeen, Payton Staples, Tiernan Steffen, Savanna Jacobs, Kylan Crager, Elijha Jacobs, Everett Crager, Abigail Herendeen, Jocelyn Etress, Annaston Jackson and, Owen Etress; father, George Herendeen of South Bend; siblings, Barbara Michalos and David T. Herendeen, both of South Bend, Michele Munoz of Lakeland, Florida, Pamala Curtis Hogan of Deland, Florida, Bobby Curtis of Mishawaka, Indiana and Kristi Curtis of Mishawaka. He was preceded in death by his birth mother, Connie Chandonia, who loved Tim so deeply she allowed Kathleen Herendeen to raise him as her own. Kathleen has also preceded him in death.
