Mrs. Rich was born December 13, 1936 in Calhoun County, Georgia, to Henry Clayton Givens and Mattie King Givens. She married the love of her life, Huey Lafayette Rich. They were together for over 56 years. JoAnn retired from Memorial Hospital and Manor. She loved fishing, sewing, quilting, staying on the go and, especially, spending time with her family. JoAnn was a social butterfly who loved people. JoAnn was Mee Maw to everyone she met and everyone that knew her loved her. She loved her family, especially her great-grandchildren, in whom she thought the sun rose and set. She will be sorely missed by the many friends and family she loved so very much.

Mrs. Rich is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Dean Jackson of Bainbridge; brother, Oscar “Jr.” Givens of Brinson; sisters, Mary Polk of Cedar Springs, and Evelyn Williams of St. Louis, Missouri; brother-in-law, Rev. Devid Rich of Bainbridge; grandsons and their wives, Jeremy and Dawn Jackson and Daniel and Rosanna Jackson; great-grandchildren, Dawson, Zachary, Dylan, and Jenna Jackson; and several nieces, and nephews.
