Hazel Franklin Kendrick, 91, of Albany, Ga., passed away Monday, May 24, 2021.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Eldorendo Baptist Church with Pastor Mitch Royals officiating. Interment will be held at Eldorendo Baptist Church Cemetery with Gerard Harvey, Darrell Long, Dargon Long, Gerald Franklin, Ronnie Franklin, Johnny Birdsong, and Billy Birdsong serving as active pallbearers. Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines.

Hazel was born August 26, 1929 in Eldorendo, Ga., the daughter of Perry Franklin and Minnie Bailey Franklin. She was a graduate of Pine Hill School, Class of 1946, and married the love of her life, Earl D. Kendrick, and lived in Eldorendo for many years. She loved cooking, traveling, and fishing with Earl at Lake Okeechobee. Her whole life was centered around her love of all of her grands.
Survivors include her daughters, Gwendolyn Humphries of Albany, Ga., and Deborah Turner and her husband, Pat, of Smithville, Ga.; her grandchildren, Mia Barrow, Deanna King, Kristy Kobs and Patrick Turner; her great-grandchildren, Chloe, Zack, Eli, Gabrielle, Christian, Gaven, Sydnee, Kason, Macie and Ava; and her great-great-grandchildren, Tucker, Wyllow, Penelope, and Gerard, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Minnie Franklin; her husband, Earl D. Kendrick; her brothers, Gene Franklin and James Franklin; and her sister, Jewell Atkinson.
