Susan Leticia Hatcher was born August 21, 1950 in Bainbridge, Ga., the daughter of Guy and Elizabeth Cleveland Hatcher. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1970. Susan was a member of First Christian Church.
Susan spent the better part of three decades serving clients with Smith & Perry Law Firm. She was often described as “the right hand” of the organization and responsible for keeping things running. She enjoyed simple things in life like fishing with her daddy and her son, cooking, and anything to do with animals. Parker, her cat, lives a life of pure privilege and kept Susan smiling on difficult days. Her attitude was no-nonsense, and her heart was the size of Texas. Yellowstone was her favorite television show. Susan knew she could fit right in with the Duttons and hold her own against anything thrown her way. Family and friends were dear to her and she never failed to ask, “How’s your mama and them?”
Survivors include her son, Robert Carey of Bainbridge, Ga. and a host of extended family. In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her siblings, Beth Hatcher and Bill Hatcher.
Max Bryant and the staff of Clark Funeral Home are assisting the family with arrangements.
