Roy McMillan, 52, has had a suspicious spot on his neck for almost a year. After traveling to Gainesville last month for testing, McMillan has been diagnosed with cancer.
To help with the now mounting medical bills, his mother Janelle McMillan is setting up a yard sale to benefit him.
“He will always be my baby,” she said.
Roy is currently having to travel to Thomasville daily for chemo treatments, and Janelle believes this yard sale would help take some of the pressure off of her son and his wife.
The yard sale will be August 7 from 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. at 701 Boulevard Street. However, people who would like to help Janelle in her endeavor can donate items to be sold. The items can be dropped off at 418 North Main Street in Climax.
Janelle said she believes Roy can overcome this, if he can gain the strength back to eat. She appreciates all the prayers for her son and thanks everyone in advance for their donations.
