Lynn Siblings win Grand Champion at Regional Livestock Shows

The brother sister duo of Preston Lynn and Maci Lynn were recently named champions at the 2021 Final Drive on 75 Show and the 2021 Labor Day Throwdown. Preston Lynn, Decatur County 4-H member, exhibited the Grand Champion Market Hog at the Final Drive on 75 Market Hog Show in Fitzgerald, Georgia. Preston won 1st place in class with his barrow and was then selected for Grand Champion Market Hog. Preston also placed 4th in showmanship. Maci placed 4th in showmanship and placed 2nd in class for the Final Drive on 75 Show.
The Lynn siblings also exhibited their swine projects at the Labor Day Trojan Throwdown in Perry, Georgia. During the weekend event, Maci exhibited the Grand Champion Yorkshire Gilt.
Preston and Maci are the son and daughter of Jeff and Cara Lynn. Both 4-H’ers are students at Grace Christian Academy where Maci is in the 2nd grade and Preston is in the 7th grade.
Exhibitors represent Decatur County and their schools as they take part in livestock shows all over the south. As a result of their participation, youth gain character traits such as responsibility, dedication, caring and fairness. In addition, they practice numerous life skills including teamwork, self-motivation, self-esteem, critical thinking, decision making, goal setting, cooperation, and communication.
