Last week, Bainbridge native Brent Warr exhibited his artwork during Café Sinclair’s 2nd Meet the Artist Event.
A graduate of Auburn University, Warr majored in Interior Design, and while artwork is his hobby he is currently focusing on a furniture collection.
“I’m launching a 7-piece furniture and lighting collection in New York at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair,” Warr shared.
He will be one of approximately 600 vendors at the ICFF.
Warr said his goal is to ultimately open his own storefront, featuring his furniture. “
There will be a ton of people at this fair from interior designers to architects, but also a whole other sector that are in PR and Marketing that work for Architectural Digest and other magazines” he said. “Part of the purpose for me is exposure.”
Warr said his hope is that one of the magazines will write a feature on him, leading to more furniture sales.
The furniture collection is titled the Woodfin Collection and is a combination of sculptural furniture, lighting and decorative pieces made by using unique wood, plaster and a paint mix.
Pieces include the Wendon Console, the Lucille Floor Mirror, the Margaret Side Table, the Glenn Thinking Stool and the Linda Coffee Table.
The Fair will be held November 14-15 at the Javits Center in New York City.
