Betty Ruth Tannler entered her Heavenly home on October 30, 2021. She was born in Bainbridge, Georgia, on December 26, 1942, to Gordon and Marth Ann Jester. She attended Valdosta State College. Betty Ruth met the love of her life Michael J. Tannler in St. Louis, Missouri, and married in 1973. They later moved to Princeton, New Jersey, before retiring to Gulf Shores, Alabama. They spent time between their beach house and their home in the mountains of Ellijay, Georgia. She was an avid gardener and animal lover. She and Michael enjoyed antiquing and treasure hunting all over the South and East Coast. Michael passed away in May of 2009 and Betty Ruth later moved to Austin, Texas, to be closer to family.
Betty Ruth is survived by her sister, Ann Robinette-Gustafson, her nephew Gary and wife Perri Robinette, nephew Patrick and wife Polly Robinette, niece Kimberly Robinette, stepson Adrian Tannler, granddaughter Logan and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Betty Ruth was very loved and will be sorely missed by her family and many friends. Our special gratitude and love go to her remarkable caregivers Kim, Janie, Erica, Sara, Patti, and Livia. What a blessing you have been to Betty Ruth and the rest of our family. A special thanks to her Great-nephew Daniel Robinette who was her devoted companion and primary caregiver.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
