BPS investigating shooting case

On Thursday, November 4, around 9pm, Bainbridge Public Safety Officers were dispatched to a report of shots fired in the 200 block of Sims Street. Officers arrived in the area and discovered three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. EMS was requested to provide treatment to the gunshot victims. Two of the victims, identified as Anthony Crosby, Jr, and Destiny Young, did not survive their injuries. The third victim, who is remaining unnamed at this time, was taken to Memorial Hospital and later transferred to an out-of-area medical center for further treatment.
Troopers with Georgia State Patrol and deputies from the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office also responded to provide assistance in maintaining evidence and searching for the persons responsible for the shooting. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Crime Scene Unit was requested to process the crime scene. GBI Investigators, with the assistance of local law enforcement agencies, are continuing to investigate the facts surrounding the incident.
