Memorial Hospital and Manor is thrilled to announce the purchase of a new OCT Machine (Optical Coherence Tomography) for Memorial Eye Care. This updated equipment was made possible by a generous donation of $50,000 from Dr. and Mrs. Philip Todaro.
Dr. Lisa Martin, Optometrist at Memorial Eye care, states, “The Maestro Eye 2 OCT machine is able to complete both photography and detailed imaging of the eye, which has a significant impact on patient diagnoses and management of many ocular diseases. I am very thankful for the generous donation that Dr. Philip and Mrs. Lynda Todaro have made toward the purchase of that equipment and for their support of Memorial Hospital and our patients in this community.”
Memorial Hospital and Manor CEO Jim Lambert expressed his gratitude for this gift by saying, “We are so thankful for this focused community support. Dr. and Mrs. Todaro have meant a lot to our hospital over the years and we are grateful for their generosity and investment in equipment that will better serve our patients.”
Dr. Philip Todaro stated, “I retired for the last time in November of 2019 after 47 years of practicing medicine. I believe in supporting our community and giving thanks for the wonderful care that is provided locally. It was my pleasure to support Memorial Hospital and Manor with this donation.”
Dr. Lisa Martin, Optician Ruth Brock, and the team at Memorial Eye Care are here to serve all of your eye care needs. Memorial Hospital also continues to provide surgical assistance bimonthly through the care of Dr. Aric Aldridge from Dothan Eye Care.
