Ira Lewis (Bubba) Glenn was born on May 4, 1958 to the late Garnell Glenn.
Ira attended public schools in Bainbridge, Georgia.
On Wednesday, November 10, 2021, Ira was free from the cares of the world and now rests with the Lord. He is singing a happy song, and all who knew and loved him will surely miss his smile and spirit.
Those that will be deprived of his love, he leaves to cherish his precious memories: his daughter, Antonya (Mike) Peterson of Dothan, Alabama, his son, Ira L. Glenn, Jr. (Tamela) of Charlotte, North Carolina, his mother, Annie L. Glenn of Cyrene, Georgia. His siblings; Calvin Glenn of Cyrene, Joseph Thompson of Cyrene, Sandra (Nathaniel) Crews of Miami, Florida, Mary (Harris) Cooper of Bainbridge, Brenda (George) Neely of Baton Rouge, Louisianan, Elizabeth (Gerard) Anderson of Bainbridge, Debra Glenn of Rome, Georgia, Jacqueline (Scott) Shores of Atlanta, Georgia, Terrance (Shanan) Glenn of Augusta, Georgia and Kimala (Barrin) McClendon of Augusta. He leaves four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews and a special friend, Thelma Jones.
Graveside services for Ira will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Bethel Cemetery in Brinson, Georgia. Visitation will be the night prior, Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 3-7 p.m.
Bruton Mortuary is in charge of the services.
