Mrs. Allie Bay King was born November 1, 1913, in Carnegie, Georgia; daughter of the late Joseph Gainer and Anna Walker Garfield. She departed this earthly life for eternal rest on Sunday, January 9, 2022, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family. She was 108 years of age.

Allie enjoyed being with family, dancing and telling stories of her life. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Allie worked as a homemaker to several families, most of her years. Many would describe Allie as being a mother to anyone that she knew…

Allie is preceded in death by her husband, Hiram King, Sr., and five children, Robert Holmes, Curtis Holmes, Bertha Holmes, Thomas “Sonny” King and Hiram King, Jr.

Surviving her departure with cherished memories, include: her son, Clarence King; two daughters, Barbara Bradley and Brenda Lattimore (Jerry); grandchildren, Curtis Holmes, Fred Holmes and Barbara H. Buchanan, of Bainbridge, Ga.; a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
