Kenneth Wade Blair was born October 31, 1963, in Douglasville, Ga., the son of Leon & Mary Frances Cox Blair. Bainbridge became home to Kenneth at just 15 years old. He married Brenda Ann Gipson nine years later and made those roots permanent. Kenneth was a master craftsman for Flint River Log Homes. He was Baptist by faith.
Kenneth was raised in a strong family that valued hard work and keeping your word. He never missed a day of work and shared with his own children his mantra: If you find a trade you love, you will never work a day in your life. It was evident in anything Kenneth built, he loved his trade. He enjoyed bow hunting, fly fishing, and raising chickens. Kenneth was always cracking jokes and chuckling while “cuttin’ up” with friends and family.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Brenda Ann Blair; his children, Heather Nicole Feliz (Fahrel) and Brittney Danielle Nix (Cody); his grandchildren, Chason, Hayden, Layton, Connor, and Kenzi; his mother, Mary Frances Cox Blair; his siblings, Debra Bell (Aaron), Steve Blair, and Paul Blair, all of Bainbridge, and Delores Haire (Scott) of Crawfordville, Fla.; and a host of extended family. Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Leon R. Blair, and his brother, Ricky Blair.
