On Friday July 15 the Harvest House of Hope hosted their annual Golf Tournament to raise money for women battling addiction. The results are in and the tournament had its most successful showing yet.
This year participation was at an all-time high as over 26 teams totaling up to 144 people partook in the tournament. Also this year, there were first place, gross place and second place winners; as well as longest drive and closest to the pin winners.
In the morning group, the first place winners were the SASS Restaurant Team, which included Rick Wagner, Kevin Sproul, Jessie Middlebrooks and Brian Harrell.
The Gross place winners included Shelton Murdock, Hill Murdock, Todd Kegler and Jay Hathorn. The second place team winners included Robbie Clayton, Roger Clayton, Eric Clayton and Tyler Owens.
In the afternoon group, the first place team winners were Jason Priest, Cason Priest, Jason Herick and Ray Dodson. The gross score team winners were Thomas Vinson, Jake Vinson, Brandon Young and Marcus King. The team who finished in second place of the afternoon group consisted of Shane Turner, Keith Trawick, Trey Godwin, and Earl Clinton.
Bainbridge High School golf coach Rex Wade took home the longest drive and Zac Conly took home the closest to the pin.
Harvest House of Hope director Cissie Franklin was pleased with the turnout and the proceeds raised, as they surpassed the amount raised in year’s prior. Next year, the Harvest House of Hope will be hosting their annual tournament on Friday July 15, 2023 at the Crooked Oak Country Club in Colquitt.
44 teams have already signed up and more are expected to sign up. Franklin and the Harvest House of Hope thank all sponsors and donors who have helped make the tournament a success and are excited for the tournament in 2023.
