On Monday, March 27 the Bainbridge High School Touchdown Club and football sponsors gathered at Southwind Plantation for their annual sponsor appreciation dinner. Members of the touchdown club along with head coach Jeff Littleton, the 2023 Bearcat seniors and many members of the community gathered to celebrate the efforts and acts of service that the touchdown club provides throughout the season to make the Bainbridge High School football program one of the best in the state.
As the Bainbridge community made their way onto the rainy event patio at Southwind Plantation, Touchdown Club President Bert Hines along with Jeff Littleton greeted and welcomed every member before giving a few words before the celebration dinner.
“This night is about everything that you guys and the touchdown club do for us,” said Littleton. “There is so much that goes into running a program and you guys help provide us with the resources and support we need to get it done. You guys help feed our kids, help us get equipment and give us everything we need.”
After Littleton thanked all the sponsors and donors, he called up his senior players as each player introduced themselves with a smile on their face as the seniors are soaking up every last moment to be with each other before commencement in May.
“These seniors are the most successful group I have been a part of in my ten years here,” said Littleton. “They have won the most games during their entire time here and have been great men and leaders and will go on to do great things in their lives.”
After the coaches and players introduced themselves, the community gathered for a prayer before everyone enjoyed a terrific spread of food, drinks and appetizers hosted by Southwind Plantation.
