Lucy Jane “Janie” (Donalson) (Johnson) Lasek, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 77 on Sunday April 30, 2023. She was surrounded by family after a long hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. She lived in Woodstock, Georgia and was preceded in death by her first husband, James T. Johnson, whom she was married to for 32 years, and her brothers: Johnny C. Donalson (twin), Robert Donalson, and Hershel Donalson. She is survived by her husband Henry M. Lasek, Jr. whom she was married to for 25 years; her sister Mary Jones, and her brother A.J. Donalson; daughters Kimberly Janflone (Christopher Janflone), Robin Darnell (Lance Darnell) and son Gregory Johnson; grandchildren Madeline Janflone, Nicholas Janflone, Mitchell Darnell, Aiden Darnell, Skylin Darnell, Ashley Johnson and Cody Johnson. Janie was born on February 6, 1946 in Bainbridge, Georgia, the daughter of John Carter Donalson and Lucy Leola Donalson. She grew up on a working farm and graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1964. After marrying James, they moved to Woodstock, Georgia where they raised their three children. Janie loved family, fishing, flowers and the color purple. Two years after James’ passing, on June 27, 1997, Janie married Henry M. Lasek, Jr.  Services and her celebration of her life will be held Friday, May 5 Hopewell Baptist Church, located at 78 Ridge Rd, Canton, GA 30114.
