Bainbridge Public Safety paid the Southwest Georgia Regional Library a visit Tuesday morning, with members of BPS fire and rescue reading stories to the kids, as well as giving them a walkthrough of the firetrucks and all their equipment.
Marketing and programming librarian Beth Jones stated that she hoped they could do this every year. “We want kids to feel comfortable if they ever do need to reach out to a fireman or a policeman, or anyone that’s in public service,” she said. “So this is a great way for them to meet them in a safe, comfortable environment, and to see that they’re friendly, and people they can trust.”
