A small audience turned out to the YMCA on Thursday morning for a Bible study, held by Ben Nieman, senior director of the Moultrie YMCA. This was the second study Nieman held, having previously held one on Tuesday.

The director is no stranger to holding these studies, having been a worship leader at several churches, as well as with the US Army at Fort Benning; though this is his first time hosting them with the Y. According to Nieman, he was approached by local YMCA director Jennifer Buckner about hosting the study on Tuesday; the study was so well-received, that it was decided to continue hosting it every other Thursday morning at 10:30 AM. The main theme of Thursday’s message was “Identity in Christ”, with one attendee telling Nieman she found his message encouraging.

“My personal desire is that everyone would know that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior,” Nieman told the Post-Searchlight.

The next Bible study will be held on August 10, at 10:30 AM.
