Allegations of sexual misconduct have been made against a Bainbridge Public Safety officer; specifically, allegations that the officer had sex with a suspect in custody during police transport. The investigation is being conducted by an outside agency, and the district attorney’s office is aware of the allegations.

While the officer’s name has not been released, according to reporting by WALB, the officer has been placed on administrative leave.
