Ms. Billie Ann Williams Thursby, age 71, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023, at her home in Bainbridge, Georgia. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 7, 11:00 a.m., at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Bostick to officiate.
Billie Ann Williams Thursby was born June 26, 1952, in Colquitt, Georgia. Her parents, Bill Oliver Williams and JoAnn Glass Williams Odom, have preceded her in death. Billie Ann was a simple person. She loved to be outdoors fishing and boating or spending time at the beach. She was a devout Christian that lived her faith. Billie Ann’s favorite saying was, “Haste makes waste”. During her lengthy illness her siblings spent a lot of time with her. She dearly loved each of them and was grateful for their company. The object most dear to her was coffee. She found great pleasure in a fresh cup. Billie Ann worked all her life. Before her retirement she worked at Donalsonville Hospital as a C.N.A. and later in Medical Records. A friend to many and deeply loved by her family, Billie Ann will be missed.
Billie Ann Thursby is survived by her siblings, Sandra Engle of Cairo, GA, Bill Carson Williams of Brinson, GA, and Tjuana Williams (Mike) of Donalsonville, GA, also numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Ricky Williams.
