Joyce Elaine Bragg was born August 5, 1944, in Panama City, FL, the daughter of Emory & Carrie Judy Bragg. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and earned some college credits at Bainbridge College. Elaine retired from Amoco Fabrics & Fibers as a lab technician. She was Baptist by faith.
Elaine was a “pistol ball” who wanted to be in the know. Rarely could you get one over on her, and she enjoyed every minute sharing her unbelievable insight into the goings on around her. Her days at Bragg’s Bicycle Shop introduced her to people of all walks of life and taught her to love people where they are. Elaine enjoyed riding in the country, drag racing, and fishing. The grands and the great-grands will forever remember time spent with “Granny” and, of course, her stash of Pepsi Cola & Reese’s Cups.
Survivors include her children, Niven German Hyatt (Ronald) of Faceville and Brad German of Lake Seminole; her grandchildren, Colby & Dana, Taylor & Zach, Brooke & A.J., Cory & Katie, Casey, and Katie & Ralph; her great-grandchildren, Bryson, Bentley, Haley, Brylan, Colton, Dean, Killian, and Liam; and her brother, Larry Bragg (Mary) of Bainbridge. In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her sisters, Audrey Ward and Libby Bragg, and her great-grandson, Braxton.
Bryant Funeral Home, located at 105 N. Florida Street, is assisting the family with arrangements. (229-246-3321)
