The Bearcat pulled away early in a 62-52 victory over the Westover Patriots. The win comes after a victory against Thomas County Central earlier in the week and puts the Bearcats at a 12-8 regular season, 2-3 region record.

“We came out focussed and locked in,” said Bearcats head coach Kelvin Cochran. “I’m hoping this momentum from Tuesday night and tonight keeps going.”

The Bearcats earned a 3rd place spot in Region 1-4A with Friday night’s win. If the Bearcats hold the 3rd seed in the region, they dodge a 4-5 seed play-in game for a spot in the region tournament.

Bainbridge plays a region opponent in Shaw on Saturday, Jan. 27, and gets a chance to take one step closer to solidifying a top-three ranking. The away game against the Raiders tips off at 5:30 p.m.
