FFA members at Spring Creek Charter Academy (SCCA) celebrated National FFA Week from February 26 – March 1. National FFA Week is celebrated each year around George Washington’s birthday to highlight what the FFA is and share the impact it has on its members. The National FFA Organization, also known as the Future Farmers of America, is an intra-curricular organization for students interested in all aspects of agriculture.
Students at SCCA kicked off the week with a proclamation breakfast with SCCA Principal Heather Worsley. Other activities throughout the week included campus clean-up, planting seeds with elementary students, an administrator appreciation lunch, letters to legislators, and a teacher quiz. Another main event of the week was Cow Patty Bingo, which helped raise funds for the FFA chapter. FFA week concluded with Blue & Gold Day as students and staff wore the official colors of FFA to show their support.
The National FFA Organization strives to make a difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
