Murkerson’s Gymnastics has been fairly busy lately, and fairly successful, bringing home multiple metals and even a title.
Heidi Griffin won first all-around in the Georgia State Championship meet in Roswell, taking first on vault, second on beam, and second on floor. Meanwhile, Kylie Letts won first place in her age division, taking first on vault, fifth on the bars, second on the beam, and third on the floor. Letts took home the championship title with an all-around score of 37.825.
The Murkerson’s Gymnast-A-Cats would go on to compete in the Southern Regional Championship in Dalton, Georgia, sending nine gymnasts to compete. These were Adella Kirbo, Heidi Griffin, Kylie Williams, Emeri Brown, Kyleigh Heard, Kylie Letts, Michelle Smith, Saniya Parks and Mia Rosario. The girls would win 45 medals, and contribute to Georgia winning in the championship against 12 other competing states.
