Reba Bell Hester Rehberg died June 19, 2024, at age 92 years. She was born February 18, 1932, in Climax, Georgia, a daughter of Alfred Earl and Alma Pearl (Allen) Hester. She was the paternal granddaughter of Alfred Nathaniel and Annie Laura (Bell) Hester and the maternal granddaughter of Jesse Norman and Alma Pearl (Cooper) Allen. A memorial service will be held at 11 o’clock on June 22, 2024, in the Climax Methodist Church in Climax, Georgia. Burial will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Climax.

Ms. Rehberg attended Georgia Southwestern College and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1953. She was married to Joseph Riley Rehberg, Jr., who died in 2011. After teaching 33 years, she retired from Everett Junior High School in Panama City, Florida.

Surviving siblings are Alfred Earl (Ann) Hester, Betty Hester McGlamery and Sandra Hester (Charles) Gee, all of Climax and Carole Hester Gibbs of TyTy, Georgia. Her family included nieces Jill Hester Clark, Clayton Gibbs Kennedy, Lee Miller Satrom, Tracy Miller Saussy and nephews Alfred Earl Hester III, Wendell Hester and William Earl Gibbs. Nieces from her Rehberg family include Patricia McElhenny, Deveni Pyles Jacobs, Margaret Ann Dillon Cook, Libby Dillon Ellis, Susan Wright Stewart, Priscilla Rehberg Cope, Nancy Rehberg, and Cecilia Richards.

Ms. Rehberg is a past member of the Decatur County Retired Teachers Association, Decatur County Historical Society, Climax Community Club, and a lifetime member of the Climax Methodist Church.
