Mark John Woolley was born July 1, 1967, in Finley, ND, the son of Marshall & Elizabeth Krist Woolley. He was a graduate of Louis E. Dierauff High School, Class of 1985, and earned a bachelor’s degree in military history from American Military University. Mark proudly served his country, retiring from the United States Air Force. In 2009, he married Sheri Long, and they made their home in Bainbridge. Mark’s heart for serving others continued in our community; he worked as a security guard at Memorial Hospital where he was recognized as Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year. He was a member of Christian Faith Church.

Generous to a fault, Mark had a heart for the homeless and stood in the gap for those down on their luck. He felt his calling was to help everyone he encountered, and he spent his days doing just that. Mark has been described as hard working, friendly, and extremely organized. He took nothing for granted and ensured every i was dotted and t crossed. Mark enjoyed swimming and listening to classic rock.

Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Sheri Lyn Woolley; his mother, Liz Hill; his brother, Marshall Woolley (Susie) of Allentown, PA; and his many friends. Mark was preceded in death by his father.
