The Lady Cougars had a busy week of play that culminated in a first place finish in the tournament the team hosted at the SRTC wellness center. The Lady Cougars played 14 matches in five days while only falling short in three of those match ups.

In the last week alone, the Lady Cougars put up a staggering 218 digs, 161 kills, 65 receptions and 6 blocks. The Lady Cougars Junior Varsity and Middle School teams also came out ready to play, winning their match ups and sweeping North Florida Christian on Monday night.

Coach Kelsey Harrell Raley said, “I am proud of all of our teams. They have played a lot of volleyball this week and have given it 100% and I see a lot of potential in our younger players and current leaders.”

Coach Harrell Raley also said her team dominated at their inaugural tournament this weekend and made the adjustments from the losses they incurred last week. “Our expectation is to win every match we play and when we come up short our team makes the necessary adjustments” she said.

The Lady Cougars will take on Florida High on Tuesday at home starting at 5pm and Thomas County High School next Tuesday at TCHS. Games next Tuesday will start at 4:30pm.
