Last Thursday, the Firehouse Arts Center hosted another of its regular Paint Partys. The canvases were pre-sketched and the themes were hikes and cooler temps with a majestic bear and mountain scene. Acrylic paint was used to create the canvas, and painters could bring their own beverages and snacks to create their masterpiece. Priscilla Spat, the evening’s instructor, led the first brush stroke so painters could see where the color goes. After the painters were finished, they took their completed canvases with them.
Chelsea Kornse, states, “The event went great, and I saw a few people’s paintings, and they were beautiful. I think it’s an amazing event. We look forward to it every last Thursday of the month. I think it’s great for our community to come together and have fun and relax.”
