On August 26, 2024, Helen Doris McDaniel Poitevint’s faith was made sight when she entered heaven and was welcomed home by her Savior, the LORD Jesus Christ, whom she loved and served for almost 82 years.

Helen was born in Pelham, GA on October 11, 1930, and married Seaborn Roy Poitevint in 1953.  They were delighted when God blessed their home with their 3 children, Craig, Teresa, and Karen.  They loved and served God faithfully together as a family, especially through music and teaching in their local church.  Music was a big part of her life, and God gifted her with a beautiful soprano voice.  Singing and making melody unto the LORD with all her heart is what she loved to do.  She enjoyed sewing and crocheting and was a wonderful mother and homemaker.  Her nursing degree was earned after raising their family.  Helen had a green thumb, liked working with flowers and plants, and grew the prettiest African Violets.  She was known as a joyful person, and studying the Word of God, especially prophecy, was a delight to her.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Seaborn Poitevint; son, Craig Poitevint; son-in-law, Greg Kelley; brothers, Louie McDaniel and R.B. McDaniel; sisters, Margaret Sculley and Mary Gainous; and parents, Royce McDaniel and Amy Van Brunt.
