Addie Marie Brinson Raulerson, age 95, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama.  Services for Mrs. Raulerson will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home.  The Rev. Marty Brock will officiate.  The family will receive friends at the end of the service.  The service will conclude at the chapel.  Marie will be interred beside her son in Roselawn Memory Gardens.

     Addie Marie Brinson was born January 13, 1929 in Eastpoint, Florida, to Carlton J. Brinson, Sr. and Martha Rowena Davis Brinson.  She grew up loving the beach and being in the water.  She especially liked to water ski.  Marie loved all sorts of sports, especially football.   She started working when she was thirteen and attended a business school in Jacksonville, Florida.  Once she received her certification, she proved to be a talented legal secretary.  Marie was a loving and caring daughter, taking excellent care of her parents until their passing.   As she closed in on her retirement years, she worked at Winn Dixie.  Marie was blessed with a son, Lawrence (Larry) Roland Raulerson, Jr.   Larry preceded his mother in death on October 12, 2016.   With her sweet smile and pleasant personality, Marie will be deeply missed.

     Marie Raulerson is survived by her niece, Gloria Hubbard, nephew, Jack Brinson and great-nephews.  Her parents, son, and siblings, Carlton J. Brinson, Jr., Bernard Evans Brinson, and Bessie Rowena Brinson Benoit have all preceded her in death.
