Nundra arrested in connection to Saturday morning homicide

Tragedy struck in the early hours of Saturday morning, when Bainbridge Public Safety was called to the scene of a homicide. The incident, a stabbing, took place at a residence on East Louise Street, not far from Centennial Field and BPS headquarters.

The victim has been identified as Mitchell Murrell. The deceased’s body has been taken to the Macon GBI lab where an autopsy will be conducted.

A suspect has been arrested in relation to the incident. Darren Bernard Nundra has been charged with one count of felony murder, one count of tampering with evidence, and one count of possession of a firearm or knife while trying to commit a crime. No bond has been reported. According to Bainbridge Public Safety, the stabbing is believed to be the result of a dispute that escalated.
