The Bainbridge Bearcats faced off against the Monroe Golden Tornadoes last Thursday evening in an away game. Unfortunately, the Cats fell 20-35.

Monroe took the lead early, scoring 6 in the first quarter, and 15 in the second. The Bearcats put up a fight, with Bryce Olds scoring a touchdown with a six-yard run, and Riggs Rentz kicking the field goal in the second quarter. Olds then made another touchdown with a one-yard run in the second, bringing the score at halftime to Bearcats 13, Monroe 21.

After halftime, the Bearcats were able to score a touchdown in the third quarter, with Korbin Bryant receiving a 62-yard pass from Camryn Scott, and Rentz again kicking. Unfortunately, the Bearcats were unable to keep up with the Golden Tornadoes, who scored 14 points over the last two quarters, ending the game with a Monroe victory, 35-20.

The Bearcats will play at home this Friday, against the Dougherty Trojans. Kick-off is at 7:00.
