Bainbridge FFA SAE Competitors recognized at National FFA Convention

INDIANAPOLIS – Bainbridge FFA member, Shane Hoskins, was named as a national finalist (top 4) in the Agricultural Proficiency award area of Turf Grass Management at the 97th National FFA Convention. Students who create an SAE in Turf Grass Management own the enterprise, or work for a business that involves the planting and maintaining of turf for outdoor beautification, providing a lawn mowing service that does not include installation or maintenance of additional landscaping, sod produced for sale and sport field or golf course management.
Along with Bainbridge’s Turf Grass Management SAE Competitor, the Georgia FFA Association’s success at the 97th National FFA Convention was highlighted by 12 national champions, the 2024 American Star Farmer, and a newly elected National Southern Region Vice President as well. Among Georgia’s national winners were the two first-place CDE/LDE teams and individuals, six national proficiency award winners, two national Agriscience Fair award winners, and two finalists in the National Chapter Award. Georgia was also represented by five members as part of the National FFA Band, Chorus, and Talent program. Also, One hundred and eighty-one Georgia FFA members received the prestigious American FFA Degree, the highest degree offered to an active member. The Georgia FFA Association could not be more proud of all competitors, recipients, and members recognized at the 97th National FFA Convention.
INDIANAPOLIS – Bainbridge FFA member, Ansley Cook, was named as a national finalist (top 4) in the Agricultural Proficiency award area of Agricultural Sales – Entreprenuership at the 97th National FFA Convention. Students who create an SAE in Agricultural Sales – Entreprenuership own an enterprise focused on the acquiring, marketing and re-selling of finished agricultural/natural resource products. This includes sales of feed, seed, fertilizer, agricultural chemicals, agricultural equipment, landscaping materials, horticulture products, agricultural machinery, agricultural structures, etc.

Students who create an SAE in Swine Production – Placement work for an employer that applies the best management practices available to efficiently produce and market swine and their raw products.
