Paula Duaine Ward was born May 12, 1949, in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of Luther & Irene Ethredge Ward. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1967. Since 1982, Paula served customers in North Florida and Southwest Georgia at Don Kirksey Ford and Action GM. She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church.
Tending the details was a skill Paula mastered. Her work was meticulous, but also her crafting. She loved to go “junking” with Annita and found antiques could tell stories while adding a little character to most any setting. Paula’s house and yard were maintained at a high standard with plants thriving around her green thumb. In the kitchen, Paula’s specialties included fried chicken and chocolate cake.
Survivors include her children, Dana M. Pritchard of Ashford, AL, and Jarrett D. Simmons and his wife, Tammi, of Woodstock, GA; her grandchildren, Kayla & Kaycee; her great-grandchildren, Reagan & Ember; her siblings, Janice Brewer, Cleve & Gina Ward, Connie Sue Boss, and Jerry Ethridge; and her lifelong friend, Annita Clark. Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Luther P. Ward and Irene E. & Henry Ethridge.
Bryant Funeral Home, located at 105 N. Florida Street, is assisting the family with arrangements. (229-246-3321)
