Thanksgiving is over and bellies are full, so everyone knows the next best thing is shopping.
Saturday morning, Downtown Bainbridge offered sales and discounts on items and services for Small Business Saturday.
Small Business Saturday is the perfect after-addition to Black Friday because there’s still many sales, and people racing to stores to purchase discounted items; but the difference is in the name itself because it’s to recognize small Mom-and-Pop businesses on Saturday.
Many downtown stores and boutiques offered sales on products and services. The Farmer’s Wife had an outdoor sale of 50% off on clothing items from 17 racks on the sidewalk. Ashley Bowen Sheffield, owner of The Farmer’s Wife, stated, “Open House, Black Friday and Small Business Saturday had record sales. It made my heart so happy to see all the people that were downtown. I think every business had a phenomenal day. I know that we had a great day. People still came out and shopped downtown. So, it makes me hopeful for the rest of the holiday season.”
Wild Aces also had 50% off on clothing products. J. Christine had 10% off on Gift Certificates and services for Friday and Saturday. Linens and Pearls offered 25-75% off their entire inventory. Juliette’s Boutique had 40% off on summer apparel, 30% off on dresses, and 10% off on new arrivals. Rivertown Running provided 20% off on shoes and other items. NightFall Books provided a lagniappe that if you spend $75 or more on items then you would receive a free book. There are many other boutiques downtown that have great sales to offer.
