Billy Ostrander

Billy Ostrander, 89, of Lake Seminole, Bainbridge, GA, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Marianna Courtyard. 

He was born October 8, 1935, in Marianna, FL to Howard and Ludie Ostrander. He was a graduate of Marianna High School, a salesman for United Insurance Company, and Harrison/Rahal/Miller Chevrolet for many years. Billy was a fixture at “At Ease Restaurant” on Lake Seminole, sitting at the front, sharing fishing stories. He loved to fish and wanted to be out on the water whenever he could.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ludie Ostrander, his wife, Cairol Ostrander, and siblings, Juanita Gillespie and Jean Frierson. 

Billy is survived by his daughter, Diann Neel (Sean); stepson, Michael Brawley of Ocala; five grandchildren, Matt Neel (Emily), Jessica Chavers (Stephan), Hunter Neel, Jessica Connolly (Craig) and David Brawley (Triscia); six great-grandchildren; dear friend, Allen “Pops” Carter; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends who loved him dearly.

Memorialization will be by cremation with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM (EST), Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 170 Cypress Circle, Lake Seminole, Bainbridge, Georgia, with Bro. Bill Mayo officiating.
