Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Students were excited to begin the new year at Bainbridge Middle School with a fresh new school and new Connections courses. Ms Mary Jo Boutwell, WOZ ED STEM  and Ms Elizabeth Hill, WOZED Computer Science, opened their new “collaboratory” classrooms in the STEM Center of the new Media Hub which is in the heart of the new middle school.  As part of the Decatur County Woz Ed initiative students can take two different connection courses each year at Bainbridge Middle School.

Students are starting the new semester in these new spaces learning about drones, robots, artificial intelligence, engineering, coding, cyber security, animation and much more. The two collaborative spaces which make up the STEM Center portion of the new Media Hub allow students to work with their teachers in small group settings, take advantage of the new shared MakerSpace and participate in engaging activities like the interactive floor and audio video green screen room.

We look forward to many exciting things coming out of this space in the weeks to come. It is an exciting time to be a Bearcat in Decatur County.
