The FCA All Abilities Committee held a special needs Snow Flake Ball at the Kirbo Center on Saturday evening. The Snowflake Ball is an annual event for people 16 and up with special needs. The event was interpreted like a prom with glamorous snapshots, recognized applause, and a lively DJ. So far, the event has been going on for 8 years, with Pilot club members providing refreshments and food and the Anchor club members being the escorts. However, for the first time, the Snowflake Ball announced a king and queen, Chris Butler and Paige Fuller.

Steve Brooks, Associate Pastor at Climax Baptist Church, declared the Snow Flake Ball is his favorite event of the year because they “have a powerful team with a passion for special needs.” Beth Belcher Dodson, Special Ed Para, expressed the same sentiment: “It is a wonderful highlight of my year. My children participated in the event. It is amazing, and it’s for anyone who’s never participated. They are welcome to come.” The Snowflake Ball happens at the end of January and is open to anyone with special needs.
