The Swim Cats had an excellent showing during the Region Championships, the Bearcats placed first in 20 out of 22 events. the boys won it for the third year in a row. The girls won regions for an impressive fifth year in a row. 

“I thank God for letting me coach the Swim Team in my hometown.  Overall, very proud of the team and how they prepared,” Bainbridge swim team, head coach, Eric Conner said.  “Having to take the week off before regions due to snow is hard on everyone, but the kids handled it well.  I would like to thank my assistant coach Beth Dodson for always being my right hand, the parents for helping in any way that we needed, the school for their support and encouragement, and the YMCA who allowed us to use their pool and did everything in their power to help us achieve our goals.”

Coach Conner elaborated that his swim team often tends to focus on individual performance. While the Swim Cats take pride in individual achievements, his main goal is to see the team work together as a unit and become a family.

The Swim Cats are graduating four seniors.  Dawson Cottles, Allee Grace Dickson, Emily Engram, and Daniel Guzman.  These four individuals epitomize excellence.
