Drivers were met with blocked traffic on Sunday afternoon, as a portion of Faceville Highway at the connection with Old Quincy Road was blocked by a car accident. According to the accident report, the accident was a rear-end collision that occured when one car attempted to turn into the nearby Quick Buys US Food Mart, while the second car was following too closely and collided. The rear car suffered disabling damage and had to be towed away, while the vehicle that suffered the rear-end was able to be driven away.

The driver of the rear vehicle was taken to Memorial Hospital, while the other suffered no apparent injuries.
