Grace Christian’s Walker Elrod places 12th at Bolles Bulldog Classic

Junior Walker Elrod, a standout athlete from Grace Christian Academy, delivered an impressive performance at the prestigious Bolles Bulldog Classic. Competing in Heat 1 and day one of the boys’ 3,200-meter run, Elrod faced a field stacked with elite talent, demonstrating both skill and determination on one of the region’s most competitive stages, as he prepares for his race in the New Balance Nationals in Boston, Massachusetts this Thursday. 

The venue will be held at The TRACK at New Balance, a state-of-the-art indoor track and field complex located across the street from New Balance’s world headquarters in Brighton, Massachusetts. 

From the start, Elrod exhibited a strong and steady pace, showcasing his endurance and tactical racing mindset. The grueling eight-lap event tested the limits of every competitor, yet Elrod maintained his focus and resilience throughout. As the race unfolded, the stakes grew higher, with every runner striving to outperform and secure their place at the top. Elrod pushed through, crossing the finish line with an admirable time of 9:24.91, which earned him 12th place in the heat out of fifty-one runners.
