Edna Glover Meadows, 89, of the Vada Community died Friday, March 14, 2025, at her residence.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 18 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home with Rev. James Knight and Rev. Mike Newsome officiating. Private interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Vada.
Born November 4, 1935 in Mitchell County to the late Charlie Frank Glover and Catherine Strickland Glover, Mrs. Meadows was an active member of Salem (Open Pond) Baptist Church. She was a professional seamstress and a lover of crafting and woodworking, which led her to open a craft, junk, and antique shop called “The Little Country Shop” in Vada. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford “Pepsi” Meadows; sister, Patricia G. Cox; brothers, Charles Glover and James “Bubba” Glover; and nephew, Ricky Cox.
Survivors include her daughter, Vonnie Hatcher (Jimmy) of Camilla; grandson, Brock Hatcher of Atlanta; great-grandchildren, Parker, Lawson, Elijah, and Charlotte, all of Baconton; sisters, Joyce Newsome of Pelham and Sylvia Allen (Steve) of Donalsonville; niece, Debra Floyd; nephews, Mike Newsome (Melanie), Dennis Newsome, Charles “Bud” Glover, Kenny Glover; and her sweet dog, Buffy.
Visitation will follow the funeral service at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Gentiva Hospice, 432 E. Shotwell St., Bainbridge, GA 39819.
