Speech Therapy Services (STS), a team of certified speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists, has been serving Southwest Georgia’s needs since 1985.
STS provides comprehensive, evidence-based speech therapy in numerous settings covering children and adults of all ages. Their speech-language pathologists are trained in diagnosing and treating speech, language, and feeding therapies that can eliminate specific disabilities and reduce challenges. Their comprehensive assessments and therapy techniques are designed to help clients improve speech clarity, language comprehension, social communication skills, and swallowing abilities. Their patient-driven practice focuses on individual therapy with a strong emphasis on the specific needs of each patient and their family.
STS recently added certified occupational therapists to their growing team to complement their licensed speech-language pathologists. Within their Occupational Therapy Clinic, the focus is on empowering individuals to achieve independence in their daily lives. STS’s occupational therapists work with patients to enhance motor skills, coordination, sensory processing, and cognitive abilities. Whether helping children overcome developmental delays, assisting adults in recovering from injury or illness, or seniors adjusting to age-related challenges, they design personalized therapy plans to improve proper functioning in daily routines. STS strives to help clients build confidence and independence while promoting their well-being.
After years of dedication service, Samantha Wilkin and Hannah Hand recently acquired ownership of Speech Therapy Services. Their combined experience with patients will continue the STS commitment to serving their patients with the care and compassion they deserve.
For more than 35 years, the Speech Therapy Services team has committed to serving their communities with personalized diagnostic treatments and family support services. They measure their success by functional and lasting outcomes for every patient in southwest Georgia.
