On Friday morning, Grace Christian Academy (GCA) hosted its annual Field Day Fun Run Fundraiser.

The event aimed to raise $15,000 to enhance classroom technology, and it was a resounding success. Lindsey Myers, the PR/Marketing and Fundraising Director, spearheaded the planning and organization of the fundraiser, which saw participation from students across all grades—from K3 through high school.

The fundraising efforts began on March 3, when sign-ups opened. A school-wide kickoff event was held on March 20 to build excitement, culminating in the Field Day activities on March 28. Students worked hard to secure donations, and on the final day, they celebrated their accomplishments by completing 35 laps.

Students in grades K3-K5 enjoyed a bouncy house while the older kids competed in the Mega Race, which included thrilling challenges like a giant slingshot, mattress roll, cup stacking, and more. After the competition, students cooled off with refreshing snow cones.

Reflecting on the fundraiser’s success, Myers shared, “GCA met and exceeded their fundraising goal, enabling us to provide additional technological resources for more classrooms.”
