Grace Christian Academy hosts enchanting “Under the Lights” prom

Saturday night, Grace Christian Academy (GCA) juniors and seniors gathered at SouthWind Plantation for their highly anticipated Under the Lights prom, an unforgettable evening of celebration and excitement.
Thanks to the efforts of Kellie Gay, Brooklyn Harrell, Nichole Holley, and the junior class, the dazzling Carnival Circus theme came to life. The venue was transformed into a vibrant spectacle, featuring giant striped balloons, bowls of candy and cotton candy, a popcorn machine, and elegantly decorated tables that added to the whimsical yet sophisticated atmosphere.
The festivities began with families capturing treasured photos of their children, preserving memories of the momentous occasion. Soon after, students gathered in front of the boardwalk for the promenade, where they made their grand entrance.
Following the promenade, attendees were treated to a spectacular dinner show by La Santa Damiana, featuring mesmerizing fire dancing that captivated the audience. The performers moved fluidly, spinning fire-lit batons with precision. The heat of the fire mixed with the thrill of the performance created an electrifying energy that heightened the excitement of the evening. Students watched in awe, some recording the dazzling display, while others simply took in the breathtaking spectacle.
After the breathtaking performance, students enjoyed a delicious meal before concluding the evening with music and dancing, making Under the Lights a truly magical and unforgettable experience.
