The Bainbridge Downtown Development Authority met for their monthly meeting last Thursday morning. Following the review of the monthly report, there were only tow items of business on the agenda. The first was the consideration of a resolution regarding the Warehouse at Calhoun Street. Specifically, Brent Warr, the owner, had changed the name of the LLC from Brent Warr Co. LLC, to Warehouse at Calhoun LLC. Warr himself was not present at the meeting to vote on the resolution.
Following this, the DDA was given a tour of the currently under-construction Element Hotel by Jeremy Emmett.
“The Element Hotel, located at the corner of Calhoun and Florida Street, represents a significant investment in downtown Bainbridge and aligns with the City of Bainbridge and the Downtown Development Authority of Bainbridge’s ongoing efforts to revitalize the area, attract visitors, and stimulate economic growth,” said DDA Executive Director Amanda Glover. “The DDA expressed their excitement about the design and economic impact The Element Hotel will bring to the community. Jeremy Emmett and his team have meticulously considered every detail for exceptional design and guest experience.”
