Julian Carlton Braswell was born June 17, 1943, in Donalsonville, GA, the son of Carl Issac & Eunice Odom Braswell. He was a graduate of Seminole County High School and earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Georgia Southwestern. Julian taught history in Nashville, Albany, and Warner Robins prior to serving as the principal of Windsor Park School. He spent the last forty years as the owner/publisher for PX Printing.
Every day began with a project. Julian never shied away from a challenge often treating them as “just another day at the office”. He was talented at the press but known for building or making most anything. (For several years, he worked in construction with his father in Panama City.) While work was always on the schedule, fishing and reading were important elements that kept his skills sharp and his mind at peace.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Florence Ohlinger Braswell, his niece & nephews, Kathryn & Richard Collins, Jon Mejia, Vic Stuart, Michael Johnson, and Scott Johnson; his great-niece, Ansley Stuart Thompson (Drew); his great-great-niece, Carleigh; and his mother-in-law, Jean Ohlinger. In addition to his parents, Julian was preceded in death by his brother, Johnnie Braswell, and his niece, Carla Stuart.
