Marlene Kelly Coleman, 80, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Climax, Georgia, passed away on July 12, 2025.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Bryant Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Humphries officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.bryantfuneralga.com. Marlene was born on February 22, 1945, in Climax, Georgia, to the late Charles Kelly Jr. and Argatha Griffin Kelly. She was Baptist by faith and known for her kind, selfless nature. Marlene loved fishing, painting, and playing the guitar. She owned and operated a daycare, where she helped raise countless children, many of whom continued to call and check in on their beloved “Mawmaw” throughout the years. Her family was her greatest joy, and she was always the first to put others before herself.
Survivors include her children, Wayne & Heather Eidson, Tony Eidson, and Ursula & Todd Oliver; her grandchildren, Adrian, Kaylee, Trevor, Connor, Landon, Nikolas, and Theresa; her great-grandchildren, Logan, Reese, and Skyler; her brothers, Charles Kelly and J.B. Kelly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughter, Kendra; and her siblings, Amos Kelly, Juanita Kelly Phillips, and William Kenneth Kelly.
In honor of Marlene’s bright spirit and love for life, the family kindly requests that attendees wear colorful clothing to the service.
