Students in Stephanie Landeen’s science class have been learning about pollution and its effect on the environment. Recently, students participated in a lab experiment involving a simulated oil spill. Students made attempts to clean up the spill using various absorption methods. Students learned, however, that the more they worked the worse the environment became. Students also learned firsthand how bird feathers are affected by an oil spill.
